The name "Guardians of Being" reflects the fact that humans often forget to slow down and simply be. Our animal companions guide us back to the present moment. They remind us to step outside the clutter of our busy minds and connect with the now.

This is why we rescue animals. They give so much to us as teachers, companions, and healers. In return, it's our responsibility to protect them, offer them safety, and give them the chance at the full and loving lives they deserve.
